The fifth edition of the international festival of contemporary dance Tanz Platz<\/i>, traditionally organised by the Student Cultural Centre of Novi Sad<\/i>, took place within the performing arts week of Kaleidoscope of Culture<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

This year, the centre of events was the renovated space of Fabrika in the Creative District. The audience had a unique opportunity to see dance performances by artists from Serbia, France, Portugal, Hungary and Czech Republic.<\/span><\/p>

Tanz Platz<\/span><\/i> aims at introducing young stakeholders of the European scene as well as tendencies in contemporary dance.<\/span><\/p>

The festival opened with the premiere of the play <\/span>Assimilate<\/span><\/i>, which explores questions of migrations, intertwining of different cultures, languages and customs. In addition to dance plays, the programme of the festival includes <\/span>Teen Generator<\/span><\/i>, a workshop for young people that delves into the history of dance and its development during the 20<\/span>th<\/span> and at the beginning of the 21<\/span>st<\/span> century.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Tanz Platz, an international festival of contemporary dance, was supported by <\/span>Aerowaves<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>European Union\u2019s Creative Europe<\/span><\/i> programme, <\/span>Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Provincial Secretariat for Culture<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>French Institute in Serbia<\/span><\/i> through the <\/span>Teatroskop<\/span><\/i> programme.<\/span><\/p>
