Cultural stations are new cultural centres that bring art closer to the local population and provide an opportunity for it to reach an individual in every corner of the city. They used to house industrial facilities and recreational centres, and their walls witnessed the history of the city and the events that influenced its development\u2026 Thanks to the title of European Capital of Culture, these new places of culture at as many as seven locations<\/strong> in the city have been renovated and fit perfectly into the rhythm of the city which nurtures its rich cultural and historical heritage. They breathed new life into the cultural scene of Novi Sad and its neighbourhoods.
Over the next four days<\/strong>, cultural stations throughout Novi Sad will host a mix of European art and top gastronomy. The Caravan<\/strong> awaits us – a unique journey to European regions through flavours and music<\/strong>. Within the Migrations programme arch, each day two of the cultural stations will offer you an opportunity to enjoy gastronomic specialities of northern, western, eastern, or southern Europe, and to hear some of the most current representatives of the world music scene. The menu inspired by the national cuisines of Europe was created by the talented Filip Milovanovi\u0107<\/strong>, the chef of the Loft restaurant, with whom we recently spoke about this event.
We invite you to embark with us on this gastro-musical journey, as we present each of the seven cultural stations<\/strong> that will be the epicentre of taste and traditional sound<\/strong> in the upcoming days.<\/p>

Svilara Cultural Station<\/h2>

Location: 6b \u0110or\u0111a Rajkovi\u0107a Street
The renovated factory used for dying silk almost two centuries ago has been turned into the Svilara Cultural Station. It is located in the oldest district of Novi Sad \u2013 Alma\u0161 Neighbourhood – and today it is a gathering place for artists, creative spirits, and their fellow citizens who want and have the opportunity to get involved in the cultural activities of the city. Since it was renovated and given a new purpose in 2018, Svilara has hosted hundreds of artists and visitors as part of many different events, including plays and contemporary performances, concerts, workshops, forums, and children’s programmes. Caravan in Svilara (17 March)<\/strong>: Don’t miss a chance to enjoy the gastronomy of Western Europe<\/strong> at 6 p.m<\/strong>. in CS Svilara. Try French croissants and German sausages, but also a cheesecake, quite different from the one you are used to. Pamper your senses with irresistible tastes and indulge in a great music programme. The Italian band The Sith<\/strong> will perform for you, combining Celtic music with electronic sound. Bukovac Cultural Station<\/strong><\/h2>

Location:<\/strong> 76 Karadjordjeva Street<\/p>

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the cultural content, the ideal place to find refuge in is the Bukovac Cultural Station<\/strong>. It is located on the slopes of Fru\u0161ka Gora only ten kilometres from Novi Sad, and it represents an incredible combination of tradition and culture. Within this station, there is also a cultural and artistic club with developed international cooperation, named after the famous poet Milica Stojadinovi\u0107 Srpkinja<\/strong>, whose house of birth is in the centre of Bukovac. The Bukovac Cultural Station is located in the building of the former cultural centre and kept its old film projectors, thanks to which we can still enjoy movie screenings from original film tapes. CS Bukovac is surrounded by nature and greenery and is an ideal location for holding cultural and artistic events outdoors. Delicious meals will\nbe served from 6 p.m.<\/b>, and the music programme in this cultural station\nstarts at 7.30 p.m.<\/b> In Bukovac, you will be introduced to the first\nSerbian gospel choir, which bases its work on traditional spiritual and gospel\nmusic. Barka Cultural Station<\/strong><\/p>

This is one of the youngest cultural stations in the city, opened as recent as 2020, but in a short time, it managed to charm and win over art lovers and residents of Slana Bara, Vidovdansko Naselje and Klisa. Enriching the everyday life of citizens with the colours of art, Barka managed to present the rich cultural heritage of the city, thanks to the functionality of the space and the attractive cultural programme.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Mlin Cultural Station<\/strong><\/h2>

During the 20th century, when the industrial development of Novi Sad flourished, the workers’ quarter was teeming with factories and residential buildings in which workers lived with their families. Their important role was reflected in the industrialization of the city, and they undoubtedly left a significant mark. In the street that itself bears the name Radni\u010dka (Workers\u2019 Street), another cultural station was renovated on the site of the old pasta factory as a place for the development of the city’s cultural scene. Egys\u00e9g Cultural Station<\/strong><\/p>

Location:<\/strong> 4 Antona \u010cehova Street<\/p>

Egys\u00e9g<\/strong> is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful buildings on Grbavica, built in 1890 on the 100th anniversary of the Sharpshooting Club, and designed by the famous Hungarian architect Gy\u00f6rgy Moln\u00e1r<\/strong><\/em>.<\/em> Egys\u00e9g was once a place of gathering and socializing at balls, and it was here that the first craft-industrial exhibition was held, the forerunner of today’s Novi Sad Fair<\/em>. After World War II, Egys\u00e9g was abandoned, after which this once magnificent building began to decline rapidly. Thanks to the renovation initiated by the local residents, cultural events, performances and other creative content have been held in Egys\u00e9g again since 2012. Cultural Station<\/span><\/b><\/h2>

Rumenka stands
out with its rich cultural heritage dating back to the 18th century. The
renovated Rumenka Cultural Station<\/b> continued the work of the cultural centre
of the same name, which was once a hub for preserving tradition and
centuries-old cultural identity. Today, the local art programme presents the work
of young artists, especially amateurs, and promotes multiculturalism. In CS
Rumenka you will have the opportunity to follow a diverse cultural programme
that includes literary evenings, exhibitions, film screenings, concerts,

Liman
Cultural Station<\/span><\/b><\/h2>

Location:<\/span><\/b> Despota Stefana Boulevard, Creative District<\/span><\/p>

The cultural
station located in the Novi Sad area once known as Great Liman has been
renovated and today artists create and exhibit their works in it, but also
exchange ideas and connect with the cultural community, strengthening the Novi
Sad art scene. During the 20th century, this area was an industrial zone, and
then craftsmen and artists moved into the factory barracks, creating a unique
artistic district. The complex of the former Petar Drap\u0161in factory has now been
renovated and turned into the Liman Cultural Station<\/b>, which will greet
you again this weekend at the Caravan of gastro-musical delights.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
