A Weekend Marked by Open Doors<\/h2>\n

The first weekend of this month is reserved for Days of Open Doors<\/strong>. The Tourist Organization of the City of Novi Sad<\/em>, together with cultural institutions, on the occasion of the City Day, implements open doors on 4 and 5 February<\/strong>, when all interested citizens of Novi Sad and their guests will be able to see exhibitions such as Mileva : We Are One Rock<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, Tambura Tradition in Vojvodina<\/em>, as well as permanent exhibitions of numerous institution of culture completely free of charge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Until 12 February, you have the opportunity to visit the\u00a0Uro\u0161 Predi\u0107 for Everyone<\/em><\/strong><\/a> exhibition at the Gallery of Matica Srpska, which we highly recommend. Get to Know Novi Sad<\/h2>\n

Tourist tours around the city centre will be in Serbian, and will be held on 4 February at<\/strong> 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m<\/strong>. and 12:00 p.m.<\/strong>, while tours of the Petrovaradin Fortress <\/strong>will be held at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m.<\/strong> and 1:30 p.m.<\/strong> On Sunday, 5 February, city centre tours <\/strong>are at 10 a.m., 11:00 a.m.<\/strong> and 12:00 p.m.<\/strong>, while tours of the Petrovaradin Fortress<\/strong> will be held at 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m.<\/strong> and 1:30 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the Theatre<\/h2>\n

February in Novi Sad is also ideal for visiting one of the great plays from the repertoire of our three theatres. In the oldest Serbian theatre, the Serbian National Theatre, this month we are highlighting \u0110urologija<\/strong>, a hit play by Branko \u0110uri\u0107 \u2013 \u0110ura, which awaits us on 5 February at 8 p.m. Dr\u017eavni posao \u2013 velika seoba arhivatora<\/em><\/strong>, with the legendary archivists \u010cvarkov, Bo\u0161ki\u0107 and Torbica is on 19 February at 8 p.m.<\/strong> on the big stage of the Serbian National Theatre, and if you wish to go to the show with some pre-knowledge, do not miss reading their interesting\u00a0interview on our website<\/a>.\u00a0The visit of the Belgrade Theatre Bo\u0161ko Buha<\/em> <\/strong>takes us back to the 1930s with the Murder on the Orient Express<\/strong> play, based on the book by the legendary Agatha Christie, which will take place at the Serbian National Theatre on 20 February at 8 p.m. <\/strong>We advise you to get your tickets on time. If you did not manage to see the Gulliver’s Travels<\/em><\/strong><\/a> play, which was directed by\u00a0Kokan Maldenovi\u0107<\/strong><\/a> and played within the ECoC \u2013 Fairy Tales of the Future<\/em> programme, visit the Youth Theatre<\/strong> on 19 February at 11 a.m.<\/strong> and 6 p.m.<\/strong>, and see a great show that will also attract the attention of the little ones because of the giant four-metre-high guignol puppet.<\/p>\n

Another play by the same director, which we recommend you see on 8 February at 7:30 p.m. <\/strong>on the big stage of the Youth Theatre, is Children of the Clockwork Orange<\/strong>. Do\u00a0 not miss the play coming to Novi Sad from Teatar na Brdu<\/em> \u2013 \u0160e\u0107er Je Sitan Osim Kad Je Kocka<\/em><\/strong>. The hilarious comedy starring Aleksandra Tomi\u0107, Andrija Milo\u0161evi\u0107, Viktor Savi\u0107 <\/strong>and Sloboda Mi\u0107alovi\u0107<\/strong> will make you laugh to tears, and these great actors will perform it on 21 and 26 February<\/strong> at 7:30 p.m. <\/strong>on the big stage of the Youth Theatre. February in Novi Sad cannot go without great music, so we advise you to visit the performance by the \u00a0Six Pack<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a> band that will hold a concert\u00a0 in Guerila<\/em> <\/strong>bar on 4 February at 10 p.m.<\/strong> You can get tickets for the concert at the price of RSD 800 at the Gigstix ticket offices and online<\/a>.
