Novi Sad in Token of the Written Word<\/h2>\n

The meeting place of writers and readers this year will be the Novi Sad Fair at the International book fair<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 that will be held from 7 to 13 March<\/strong>. Take advantage of the great opportunity to get new titles at publisher promotional prices and complete your home library. The \u2018Laza Kosti\u0107 Days\u2019 event, in which literary award-winning writers, translators, and literary critics are guest, as well as the \u2018Laza Kosti\u0107\u2019 literary award, which is awarded for the best literary achievement, will be held between two Book fairs. In addition to this, prizes for children’s literature and \u2018Zaharije Orfelin\u2019 for the most beautiful book will be awarded.<\/p>\n

The 27th<\/sup> international art exhibition ART EXPO<\/strong><\/em>, as well as the 18th<\/sup> international education fair Putokazi<\/em><\/strong>, which promote the profiles of educational institutions in the country and abroad, are being held on 9 and 10 March<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the Rhythm of Music<\/p>\n

Let us go back in time and hear the most famous foreign 2000’s hits at the From Zero to Ten<\/em><\/strong><\/a> party, which will be held at Dom Kulture on 4 March at 9 p.m<\/strong>. Fans of rave parties, this March in Novi Sad will enjoy at the Green Love birthday party<\/em><\/strong>, which will take place in Hall 2 at the Novi Sad Fair<\/em> <\/strong>on 18 March<\/strong>. You can get tickets at Gigstix ticket offices and online<\/a>.<\/p>\n

March will be marked by other great performances, and Visit Novi Sad this month highlights the\u00a0Slobodan Trkulja and Balkanopolis\u00a0<\/a> concert, on 11 March at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.<\/strong>, which will start the new music season in the City Concert Hall<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Continue your walk across the Danube to the City Museum of Novi Sad and visit the phenomenal exhibition Mileva : We Are One Rock<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Du\u0161an Jovovi\u0107, PhD. Find out who Mileva Mari\u0107 Einstein<\/strong>, a scientist with a genius mind who remained in the shadow of her husband during her life, really was. We bring you five resons<\/a>\u00a0to visit it. You can also visit the exhibition on 5 March<\/strong> as part of a tourist tour\u00a0Secrets of the Petrovaradin Fortress<\/a> and complete the story of the history of Suburbium, where Novi Sad originated.<\/p>\n

Take a walk to the Liman Park and Suba\u2019s Plateau, where the first Novi Sad open-air gallery awaits you. You can see the Sekvence Grada<\/em><\/strong><\/a> exhibition of works by seven artists on 49 masts <\/strong>that sway in the wind. Prof. Mileta Po\u0161ti\u0107<\/strong><\/a>, who was awarded the Order of Merit in Culture on National Day, is among the prominent local artists, and we recently talked about the exhibition<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Novi Sad will tell us an interesting story about significant women from Novi Sad in a theme walk\u00a0Famous Women of Novi Sad<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, which will take place on 8 and 9 March at 6 p.m.<\/strong> If you wish to find out who was the talk on the corso, who broke men’s hearts with their verses, but also who were smart and educated ladies, wives, orators, spiritual benefactors, reserve a place on this tour by calling 065\/61-64- 100. In the Theatre<\/h2>\n

If you missed the opportunity to enjoy a great concert Rock Opera \u2013 Queen Simphony<\/a> just before New Year’s Eve, performed by the Novi Sad Big Band with soloists and the orchestra and choir of the Serbian National Theatre Opera, you have a chance to listen to it on 7 March at 8 p.m.<\/strong> Tickets are\u00a0 on sale! This month, the oldest theatre in Serbia brings us two premieres, which we also highlight. It is The Gospel According to F. M. Dostoyevsky<\/em><\/strong>, which will be premiered on 17 March at 7:30 p.m. <\/strong>(subsequent performances are the next day, but also on 20 March at 7:30 p.m.), as well as the opera Eugene Onegin<\/em><\/strong>, in four acts, whose premiere is scheduled for 28 March at 7 p.m. (the next performance is on 30 March at 7 p.m.).<\/p>\n

The Antigone<\/em><\/strong> play, which premiered at the Novi Sad Theatre on the last day of February, will be performed on 2 March at 7 p.m.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the Youth Theatre this month, we are again expecting a performance of the\u00a0Gulliver’s Travels<\/em><\/strong><\/a> play, directed\u00a0by Kokan Maldenovi\u0107<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and performed as part of the ECoC \u2013 Fairy Tales of the Future <\/em>programme. Visit the Youth Theatre on 5 March at 11 a.m.<\/strong> and 6:00 p.m.<\/strong> and see a great show that will attract the attention of even the little ones. A guest appearance by the great cast of Atelier 212, brings us a \u00a0Coffee and Cigarettes<\/strong><\/a> play, which will take place on 30 March at 7:30 p.m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Bazaar \u2013 An Opportunity for a Good Shopping<\/h2>\n

The famous downtown Fish Market<\/em> turns into a Night Bazaar<\/em><\/strong> every month, and this March it will be held at the beginning and in the middle of the month, on 3 and 17 March<\/strong>. In addition to homemade food, deli products, wine, beer and other local products of entrepreneurs from Novi Sad and its surroundings, we will have the opportunity to buy unique handicrafts. Spice up this March in Novi Sad with lots of great flavours. Another meeting place for fans of quality local products and unique items is the Fenseraj<\/em><\/strong> taste event, which will take place at Detelinara market on 11 March<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Fortress Challenge<\/h2>\n

If you are physically active and like challenges, apply<\/a>\u00a0for the Fortress Challenge<\/em><\/strong> at the Petrovaradin Fortress, which will take place on 18 March<\/strong>. The 10-kilometre <\/strong>course includes classic \u2018OCR\u2019 obstacles, but also completely new challenges adapted to the specific configuration of the terrain. Participants, in addition to an exciting sporting feat, have the opportunity to visit some of the most interesting parts of the fortress, historical sites, moats and tunnels. Part of the trail includes the largest anti-mine system from the 18th<\/sup> century and the third largest underground defense system in the world, the Imperial Trench. The race continues through the Franz Josef Tunnel, Suburbium, the \u2018Water City\u2019, the Upper Town, then past the famous symbol of Novi Sad \u2013 the Drunken Clock, but also through various tunnels, including the tunnel through which the famous \u2018Orient Express\u2019 train passed.<\/p>\n
