The indie pop duo which brought something new and fresh to the local scene promises a great concert for Do\u010dek 7529. The band \u2018Bu\u010d Kesidi\u2019 will play their biggest hit songs in the concert that\u2019s going to be available online via the visitns.rs<\/a> platform on 13 January.<\/span><\/h4>\n

<\/p>\n

Within the performance of the duo including Luka Raci\u0107<\/strong> and Zoran Zarubica<\/strong>, the concept and idea of the space of future \u010celi\u010dana (en. Steel Factory) in Great Liman, will be artistically presented. \u010celi\u010dana is going to be the centre of contemporary creation in Novi Sad. When it comes to the future European Capital of Culture, the guys say Novi Sad is one of their favourite places to perform.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Concerts in Novi Sad were always amazing, with a lot of people who always gave us a warm welcome. Maybe it has to do with the fact that Novi Sad is the centre, but it\u2019s not Belgrade, it\u2019s not a hotspot, it\u2019s more quiet and alternative, and consequently more fun,\u2019<\/em> say Luka and Zoran, adding:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Online Do\u010dek is an awesome idea, a lot of genres are included, Elektri\u010dni Orgazam, Surreal, who is very active in hip hop, a different sound that we bring to the table, and then there\u2019s Vasil, so this is really something we\u2019d like to hear in person. I think we need more projects like this one. I believe these kind of things are being done everywhere in the world, except here, but here it is, Novi Sad is the first city that has started doing something serious production-wise.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n

Even though they\u2019ve been active since 2013, they reached wider audience in 2019 when they released their second studio album titled \u2018Euphoria.\u2019 That same year, \u2018Euphoria\u2019 found itself on the best albums list, and in 2020, it was nominated for the prestigious IMPALA Award \u2013 The European Independent Album of the Year.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018We were most surprised by the people\u2019s quick reaction to the album. As soon as it was released, everyone reacted. All the comments and reactions literally happened in the first week. I have a feeling the album was universally accepted, people learned the songs immediately and were singing along in concerts. It all happened at once,\u2019<\/em> says Luka about their most successful album so far, with the most popular song being \u2018Nema Ljubavi u Klubu\u2019. This song won the MAC award for the alternative pop song of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n

The unique Do\u010dek in Novi Sad that connects two New Year Eves, two calendars and two time calculations, 31 December and 13 January, will be held in an online format for the first time ever. Do\u010dek will open new spaces for culture so that Serbian Athens could readily wait for the European Capital of Culture<\/a> title.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to Bu\u010d Kesidi, the famous violinist Stefan Milenkovi\u0107<\/strong> with Vasil Had\u017eimanov<\/strong> and the Camerata Academica<\/em> chamber orchestra, Elektri\u010dni Orgazam<\/em>, Surreal<\/strong> (rapper), band D\u017eezva & D\u017eezvica<\/em>, a young violinist Lana Zorjan<\/strong>, Novi Sad Brass Quintet, the sopran Vitkay-Kucsera \u00c1gota\u00a0<\/strong>with the pianist Jelena Simonovi\u0107 Kova\u010devi\u0107<\/strong>, \u2018Sveti Stefan De\u010danski\u2019 choir with the \u2018Orfelin\u2019 string orchestra, will also perform on 13 January, while the youngest ones will have an opportunity to enjoy the opera for children by the \u2018Visoko C\u2019 Association of Artists.<\/span><\/p>\n
