One of the most visited and recognized artistic festivals in this part of Europe, Kaleidoscope of Culture, will once again transform Novi Sad into a centre of arts and culture this autumn. The event, lasting five weeks and encompassing five types of art—applied arts, literature, performing arts, architecture, and visual arts—will take place in the District from 5 September to 5 October, allowing citizens and visitors to create their own kaleidoscope of events, turning the city into a vibrant artistic scene.
Kaleidoscope of Culture continues to set new standards—in programmes that have not been seen before in Serbia, in terms of attendance, in its unique artistic concept, and in bringing together local and international artists. The event has rightfully been awarded the title of Best European Trend Brand, and it will now celebrate its seventh edition in Novi Sad, gathering numerous local, regional, European, and global artists in the renovated District. It is a legacy of the Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture project, confirming the importance of culture for the city’s development and identity.
This distinctive event has consistently received top ratings from the Novi Sad audience. Since 2018, when it was first implemented as part of the preparations for the European Capital of Culture title, Kaleidoscope of Culture has transformed the entire city into a stage every September and October, significantly contributing to tourism in Novi Sad. Thus, the city becomes an attractive tourist destination even in the autumn, further enhancing the local economy and cultural life. Having proven itself as the largest and most massive project, we are delighted that this legacy remains with the city even after the historic year of the ECoC title.
This year, the opening of Kaleidoscope of Culture will be marked on the traditional Korzo on Mihajla Pupina Boulevard, followed by five weeks of top-notch art in the District. Through diverse programmes, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy various events that will provide a unique experience of cultural unity, as well as to hear and see some of the best European and global artists.
Kaleidoscope of Culture has brought a cultural change to Novi Sad, developing its audience and attracting new visitors as a tourism potential. The event is not just an artistic spectacle—it is a true cultural revolution that changes the image of Novi Sad. Kaleidoscope of Culture brings new shine to Novi Sad, making it an important ‘spot’ on Europe’s cultural map. Through the event, the city positions itself as a leader in cultural tourism, attracting visitors from all over the world and confirming its status as a European Capital of Culture.
