The play ’The Use of Man’ will bring to life deep literary themes and provide answers to challenging life questions, so we invite you to visit the District this weekend and immerse yourself in the theatrical creativity offered by this year’s programme.
13 September / 9 p.m. / Stage 1
The play worth visiting the District this weekend (even in the rainy weather) is ’The Use of Man,’ an adaptation of Aleksandar Tišma’s novel, which will be presented on the first evening in the District. The play, performed by ’Novi Tvrđava Teatar’ tells the story of a world dominated by religious, racial, political, and other forms of intolerance. The main character, Vera Kroner, faces the horrific experiences of the Holocaust and tries to find meaning in a world devastated by war and suffering. Through an intense portrayal of her life, the play raises key questions about human nature, survival, and morality. The cast includes talented actors such as Emina Elor, Draginja Voganjac, and Jugoslav Krajnov, with direction by Boris Liješević and dramaturgy by Fedora Šilija. Admission is free, and more information about the programme can be found on the official Kaleidoscope of Culture website.
Kaleidoscope of Culture continues to connect regional and global artists, bringing the latest trends in art and culture. Admission to the performances is free, and more information about the programme can be found on the official Kaleidoscope of Culture website.
