In 1932, the Kramer brothers received permission from the City Mayor to expand their
factory to another department, thus the department for making chains was opened. The Petar
Drapšin factory and Fabex will continue to perform this activity.
Today's Lančara consists of nine independent spaces designed for the promotion and
production of different genres of music, including spaces intended for music studios, clubs,
etc. The Suba Room project, dedicated to poineer of electronic music, Mitar Subotić Suba,
which met with great response from the audience, would have its permanent residence here,
and in addition, the space could also be used by musicians of different styles and genres. In
this manner, Lančara becomes an alternative cultural centre and an underground space for
new cultural contents.
