A series of eleven buildings in the District that make up Radionica were built for the purpose
of making wire products. In the 1990s, within the former Petar Drapšin industrial complex, as
many as 32 workshops were located here, such as locksmith, auto mechanic, carpentry,
tinsmith, plumbing, tarpaulin making, boat manufacturing and many other workshops.
Today, there are studios of independent artists (current users are Tadija Janičić, Petar
Mirković and Boris Lukić), as well as workshops and spaces intended for clubs with
alternative music content. This is where the premises of Atelje 61, the only institution for the
production of artistic tapestries in Europe, are currently located.
