The weekend behind us is marked by the nuances of culture through the grand finale of the Fortress of Peace programme arch and three different kinds of art. We had the opportunity to get acquainted with the Neolithic heritage of our country through the archaeological exhibition ‘A Neolithic Night’s Dream’, which opened on Friday, and thanks to Meta Human technology, we met face to face with the prehistoric man from Lepenski Vir. You can visit this extensive Neolithic exhibition until 15 October, organised in cooperation with the National Museum of Serbia and the Museum of Vojvodina and opened in this region for the first time after more than half a century. On Saturday evening, the European Capital of Culture once again shined as a city of classical music, when the audience was delighted by the performance of the philharmonic orchestra ‘For New Bridges’, accompanied by the excellent pianist Jasminka Stančul and conductor Andrej Bursać. The Overture for Peace concert attracted numerous visitors of all ages, and the Creative District hosted three top pianists on the same evening at an unusual event that you could only experience in Novi Sad. Vasil Hadžimanov, Matija Dedić, and Bojan Zulfikarpašić prepared an exciting evening to remember with their indisputable skill in playing the piano.

The highlight of the weekend and the Fortress of Peace certainly took place under the banner of film art. Novi Sad is one of the few cities in Europe that received its first historical film, Liberta – The Birth of a City, which the audience of Novi Sad had the opportunity to watch for the premiere last night under the clear sky of the Petrovaradin Fortress. The adventure film saga about the fight for freedom of their city, directed by Gvozden Đurić, and Žanko Tomić, showed the audience how Petrovaradin Šanac became Novi Sad.
