With the seventh Doček in the UNESCO Creative City, with which we stepped into the new year, Novi Sad once again confirmed that it is the artistic epicentre of the unstoppable spirit of innovation. While the impressions of New Year’s Eve in Suburbium are slowly settling down, the excitement surrounding the celebration of Doček 7532 on 13 January, which celebrates the richness of Novi Sad’s interculturality, flares up. The arrival of the year 7532 takes us on an exciting, genre-diverse musical journey through an unusual combination of concert venues. One of the locations where the musical names of the local and foreign scene will provide the Novi Sad audience with an unforgettable time and great performance energy is the District, and below we bring you three reasons to visit it on 13 January!
#1 New music trends are waiting for you in Proizvodnja

In anticipation of the unforgettable Doček 7532, we took the opportunity to talk with the artist Iva Pažin, better known as Zhiva, between intensive preparations. You can read the interview HERE.

#2 SKCNS Fabrika as a centre of electronic sound
From the world’s most famous clubs, DJ Matthew Johnson, often seen behind the counter of Berlin’s famous Berghain, comes to Doček 7532. On New Year’s Eve, on 13 January, he teams up with Marko Nastić, the most successful Serbian DJ and one of the pioneers of the local electro scene. Nastić shared the counter with the greats of techno sound, such as Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Green Velvet, Adam Beyer and many others. With the support of Novi Sad DJs Runy and 2MUCH, we are in for a memorable evening.
The programme at SCCNS Fabrika starts at 10 p.m., and you can get TICKETS HERE.
#3 Feel the spirit of the place
We strongly recommend that you walk through the District before the concerts and enrich your walk with a unique experience – a visit to the permanent exhibition Spirit of Place – A Century of the District.
The exceptional exhibition is set in the Fabrika 2 facility, and is the work of a creative duo, Monika Bilbija Ponjavić, PhD, and Nemanja Milenković. The exhibition presents the dynamic hundred-year saga of the former industrial complex, bringing us a unique perspective of its turbulent past.
The permanent exhibition is not only a testament to the District’s industrial heritage; it is a journey through time through six exciting stages. Starting from the founding of the factory, through the challenges of the Second World War and the dramatic days of NATO bombing, until the moment when Novi Sad became the European Capital of Culture. The exhibition brings to life the historical eras and stories that shaped the District.
