Petrovaradin

If the Petrovaradin Fortress could speak, we could hear stories from it from the Paleolithic, more precisely from 19,000 to 15,000 BC, when people began to inhabit this area, as the latest archaeological discoveries reveal.

For centuries, the Fortress was a conquering goal to which different peoples directed their quests, and the turning point was the 17th century when the border between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire was established here.
It would be interesting to hear from the Fortress itself how different civilisations met, crossed, fought for supremacy and united here, how the European integrity of the city was created here, and how many important people spent their days here, including Ban Jelačić, Ivo Andrić and Clint Eastwood, as well as stars who perform at the Petrovaradin Fortress every year within the Exit Festival and other important cultural events.
